You’ve got, or are planning to eat some Mozzarella sticks. But what sauce goes well with them and what are some of the best combinations? Let’s find out.

So, what sauce should you eat with Mozzarella sticks? Mozerella sticks are typically eaten with Marinara. However, ranch, Thai sweet chili, cocktail sauce, BBQ, hot sauce, regular mayonnaise, garlic aioli, buffalo sauce, ketchup, tzatziki, donair, alfredo, salsa, and hollandaise are all good sauces to try.

As you can see, you’re really not short of options!

In fact, Mozzarella sticks are incredibly versatile when it comes to dipping sauces; with most condiments pairing rather nicely.

Some people even report doubling down on the cheese and dipping them into a cheese-based sauce too!

Of course, what you decide to do is going to come down to preferences and what you have around.

But be willing to experiment.

You’ll be shocked at what works!

Nevertheless, it is in fact Marinara sauce that is commonly served with this dipping food.

So let us take a quick look at a quick recipe should you want to try out this classic combination.

Marinara Dipping Sauce For Mozzarella Sticks

The following Marinara dipping sauce recipe is quick, easy, and simple; you only need 5 ingredients all of which are widely available.

Just be sure to invest in a decent tomato sauce as this is the fundamental ingredient, after all!

Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon of Olive Oil,
  • 2 Cloves of Garlic (Peeled & Crushed)
  • 1 Jar (15 ounces/425g) of Tomato Sauce
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt

Method

Step One: Add your olive oil to a frying pan over high heat. It should start to glisten when the oil is sufficiently hot.

Step Two: Add your garlic cloves and fry until they are brown (2-5 minutes). Take the garlic out of the pan and throw away.

Step Three: Add in your remaining ingredients (tomato sauce, basil, oregano, and salt).

Step Four: Drop the heat to low, simmer, and stir to combine. Let it sit for around 10 minutes.

Step Five: Keep warm until serving.

It may seem odd discarding the garlic, but that should give you the flavors without the chunks and harsh/intense garlic notes.

Finally

Mozzarella Sticks are incredibly versatile when it comes to sauce.

And that really is the best thing about them.

And while eating them on their own is still great; they are best dipped.
