How To Make Your Own Boom Boom Sauce
Sheetz does not publically sell their Boom Boom sauce, so if you want some at home, you’re going to need to make it.
Thankfully, it’s a relatively easy one to do and you likely have a lot of the ingredients at home already to do so.
Let’s get onto the recipe:
- 1 Cup of Mayonnaise (Or Veganniase if following the Vegan diet),
- 2 Tablespoons of Sweet Chili Sauce,
- 2 Tablespoons of Sriracha Sauce (Or other hot sauce),
- 2 Tablespoons of Ketchup,
- 1 Teaspoon of Mustard
- 5 Teaspoons of Garlic Powder,
- 5 Teaspoons of Onion Powder
- Salt & Pepper, To Taste
Step One: All all of the ingredients into a bowl and combine well, whisking is ideal.
Step Two: If you are looking to serve, cover the bowl and add to the fridge for 1-2 hours to let the ingredients infuse. If you are looking to store, transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 1 week.
Step Three: Serve as and when desired; if it separates re-whisk together!
It is generally best not to make too much in advance; this sauce is best prepared fresh!
At the same time, be sure to measure out the ingredients precisely. Otherwise, the flavor of the sauce will be unbalanced and it really won’t taste like the original thing!
Boom Boom sauce is a creamy, sweet, and tangy condiment that makes a whole range of Sheetz menu items that much better.
